I Could X-Ray That For You

TaranTaran3

Doh !!

The Cornucopia starts tonight. Make sure you look for this guy. He'll be slinging burgers later in the evening.

Yes, I have found the coolest tool ever. Simpsonizeme. So get cracking. Let's see those Kirby crew members brought to cartoon life.

Must…See…This

If you want to know more about Donald Crowhurst, check out his Wikipedia page.

To put this in perspective, it would be akin to one of us Kirby owners entering the Vendee Globe. Any volunteers? Fame and fortune await.

They're Kralling Out Of The Woodwork

Rick, I've done it, I went and purchased Red Shift.  In all likelihood I will be renaming it to Loki.

Dad (yes, he volunteered to help!) and I trailered her home and 24 hours later, she is sitting in my driveway (I rented a truck from Carter Ruck Rentals).  I am running around to get her rigged up as fast as possible to get her in the water as fast as possible (insured and registered of course).

I thought I would email you, because I know you would be excited to hear this!

Simon~

Interesting. Simon and Andrew on the same starting line. I can't wait to see how the brotherly love plays out.

Congratulations Simon, and welcome to the fleet.

Ruck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ruck can refer to a contest for possession in different forms of football.
  • Ruck (rugby union) - contesting for the ball in Rugby Union from a grounded player
  • Ruck (Australian rules football) - aerial contest in Australian rules football between rival ruckmen at a bounce in the centre of the ground or ball-up around the ground.
Ruck is also English working-class slang for a fight, derived from 'ruckus' and possibly also from the earlier meaning of 'ruck' - an unruly crowd or throng of the ordinary masses of the people.

Sounds about right.

Job Opening

Wanted…Webmaster

After nearly two years I have decided that I have had enough of this job. If anyone would like to have a hand at taking care of this website then drop me a line.

I use a MacBook Pro as my primary computer and this site is built upon that. The software that I use is RapidWeaver. I am using my personal copy but I'm sure that we could take some of the Kirby fund and buy a copy for the Class if we needed to. If someone wanted to take what we have and build with something else then I really don't care. To each his own. Don't worry, I'm not going to just drop the site.

I have also been acting as a sort of Treasurer and this could go along with the Webmaster job as well. The person taking over would also become the guardian of the domain name and be responsible for managing the hosting of the site. If you are not that familiar with the inner workings of how a website is put together then this is a great opportunity to get your feet wet. I would be available as a coach so don't worry about being left out in the cold.

My heart just isn't in it anymore.

Must have an IQ of at least 80 (So half of you need not apply, especially this guy), and a slightly warped sense of humour.

Rick

NORTHCOTTE, Stacy

Suddenly on Saturday, July 28, 2007. Beloved son of Barbara and Fred Northcotte, dear brother of Glenn and Eileen (Gino), loving husband to Christina Medland, devoted step-father to Matthew, Brenda and Liz. At his request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at St. George Anglican Church, 83 Church Street, St. Catharines. Arrangements entrusted to the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ashbridge's Bay Yacht Club for a fund to be established in Stacy's name for the support of junior sailing.

Thanks to Stinky from USC who posted this on the Sailing Anarchy forum.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Stacy's family and friends.

May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Not turn your heart to stone,
And may you always remember
You do not walk alone.
