'04 North kevlar #1 in great shape
'04 North all purpose spin 3/4 oz. in great shape
'93 north dacron main in good condition
'93 mylar north #1 ok condition
'79 #1, #2, #3, .5oz. spin, .75oz. spin, Main, and blooper. #2 and 3 in ok condition. All others work great for cruising.
1989 Yamaha 2 stroke 6 horsepower outboard. Runs great. External gas tank.
Boat is in good condition. Pretty much race ready. I'm in the process of fairing the keel. Other than that, just a couple of lines needed. Great hardware, winches, etc. Bulkheads and keel sump have been fixed. Rudder has a stainless shaft. Boat is sitting on a tandem axle trailer with new hitch, axle, and brakes.

#96-Problem Child
$9,000.00 CAD
“Problem Child”
(Formerly “Nemo”, “Dead Sexy” and “96 Degrees”) is hull 96, built in 1979, and came to Ottawa from Oakville in late 2006. Since then she has done two NODs and a lot of weeknight racing, and has been a lot of fun. I am thinking that it might be time to get a boat I can stand-up in, however, and that’s why she’s for sale. The standard issues have been addressed: the keel sump was strengthened some years ago, the rudder was completely rebuilt this year and the keel was faired in the spring. This boat was dry-sailed for years but now has a smooth VC17 bottom. Part of the extensive maintenance and upgrades last year (2007) were the new mahogany ply cabin sole, the mahogany toe rails and the new fuel tank locker. Shroud bases were re-bedded and are solid. Other features:
• Samson Litespeed Main and genoa halyards (2008);
• SLS spinnaker halyard and jib sheets (2007);
• Recent Quantum Kevlar genoa (estimated 2003);
• Recent UK loose-footed Dacron main (estimated 2003);
• Other sails include North main, jib, spinnaker and Mylar Genoa, as well as Fogh main, jib and genoa;
• Boomkicker;
• Speedo and compass;
• Harken windward sheeting traveler car;
• Spinnaker pole and all blocks, cam cleats and lines to run it;
• Boom vang, Cunningham, outhaul, twings, spinnaker sheets, etc.;
• Easylock 2 halyard clutches;
• Centre crane lift hardware (fast and easy, and avoids use of lifting straps);
• Porta-potti (2007, never used);
• Day-night solar vent;
• Bow and stern rails, double lifelines and stainless swim ladder;
• 1980 Mercury 4.5 hp outboard (runs like a top – water pump impeller replaced in 2007).
Photos
I can provide a recent insurance survey performed in the fall of 2006.
The boat includes an almost-new 2001 Cradleride 4-pad trailer with surge brakes. The trailer alone is valuable and an important part of the racing package.
Located at Nepean Sailing Club, Ottawa.
